  • Stack...

Books, back copies of periodicals and newspapers, government information and car manuals are shelved in "stack" because they are of historical value but rarely used or are current interest but a high theft risk. All are accessed through the catalogue and retrieved by a librarian.

  • Technical Services...

This is where library stock is ordered, received, catalogued, processed, checked and then made available to the public. The process may take a week for locally available books to six months for books ordered prepublication offshore.
